Western Municipal Water District is a responsible steward of the environment and has invested significant resources in installing solar arrays at two of its facilities, including the Western Riverside County Regional Wastewater Authority Treatment Plant, which is home to a 5,000 panel solar power system that generates electricity equivalent to powering more than 200 homes annually.

Solar power systems provide multiple benefits: the reductions in operation costs help keep rates as low as possible for customers and simultaneously protect the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions generated by conventional electricity use.
